Story 13DX/PI Peissnitz-Isle Story from 13DX/PI activity held during June 2009. Hello DXers We are back home. It's forbidden to enter the "Peissnitz-Isle with a car. But trough Google Earth we could see that there are buildings on the inside of the the isle. (look at the photo/proofs section) The attraction of the isle is a little railway for children which spans on the wholi isle and make much QRM !! Saturday I (Uli 13DX056) left my house at 7 am and at 7:30 am, I met with Wolf 104. Together we reached Halle(Saale)/Neustadt at 8:00 am. After finishing construction of the antenna and having setup the radio we became QRV. But - the conditions were very poor and we had strong QRM/QRN 9 to 9+ . 3:00 pm Rain began to fall and and the wind was rising too. 3:30 pm We had to close the log for the first day. Sunday we became QRV at 10:20 am. 2:00 pm The battery went low, and we decided get something to eat. When we returned to our radio we changed the battery and still were 1 hour on air. 6:50 pm 13DX/PI went QRT, and we returned home. Vy 73's 13DX056 Uli 13AT104 Wolf return
