Story 161DX/P001 . Story from 161DX/P001 activity. Hi All, After short break ( Greg was in Baltic countries ) our team prepared another new one iwi’s: P001 and P002. P001 Kepa Bazarowa island in Torun city Torun is a city in northern Poland, on the Vistula River, with population over 207,190 as of 2006, making it the second-largest city of Kujawy-Pomerania Province, after Bydgoszcz. The medieval old town of Torun is the birthplace of Nicolaus Copernicus. In 1997 it was inscribed onto UNESCO's World Heritage List as a World Heritage Site. Previously it was the capital of Torun Voivodeship (1975-98) and Pomeranian Voivodeship (1921-45). Since 1999, Torun has been a seat of the self-government of Kujawy-Pomerania Province and, as such, one of its two capitals (together with Bydgoszcz). The cities and neighboring counties form the Bydgoszcz-Torun bipolar metropolitan area. Our meeting point was at railway station in Torun city – one jump to P001 Kepa Bazarowa where we started activation after 15 minutes- good organized team – each person know good his role. First logged station as very often was John 101. It was nice place with beautiful panoramic view of old part of Torun city. We had 1st time opportunity to be in this place – unforgettable. After around 3 hours- propagation not sp good and after logging in over 30 stations we took decision to de’assy equipment and start 25kms trip to another new one – P002 in Ciechocinek city. 73’s from Team: 161DX016 MaC 161DX018 Slawek 161DX037 Greg return
