Story 161DX/P038 . Story from 161DX/P038 activity. Hi all from Slawek 018 team member of 161DX/P038. P-038 Bozenkowo Zdroje island is located on Brda river, not too far from MaC and my location, also not so far from Gregs location. Our meeting place was agreed, at 6:30 GMT we were all there ready for our journey. We arrived at the location before 07:00 in which Jan 161 AT 388 showed us further way to our today's target. The weather was very bad, 10 minutes strong rain, 10 minutes little sun through clouds, 10 minutes strong rain and 20 minutes little sunny. That was almost whole day which we spent on island, in addition strong wind. As you will see from the activation pictures, step by step we are better prepared. One thing is still not resolved and we do not have patent is how to create better propagation. What we can say- it was big challenge for us- over 1 km carrying all of the equipment during rain from our cars to island. It is the reason why we started a little later than normal. Taking into account the difficulties at the beginning, the final result 65 QSO's with 9 divisions satisfied us.
