Story 161DX/P176 Story from 161DX/P176 activity. Hi IWI chasers It was time to start first activation in full team: Mac 016, Greg 037 and me Slawek 018. After receiving official authorization for entrance for both (P-176 and P-177) islands, we started quick preparation. Early morning on 27th of June Greg arrived to our city and around 6:45GMT. We started common trip to our target and arrived to the islands after 25 minutes. On place decision was that Mac & Greg will stay on P-176, Slawek will go little further to P-177. After preparation equipment at 8:00 first station was logged into P-177 and as very often it was 26DX047 Darran. Few minutes later P-176 also was on air. Propagation was not so good, but the weather was perfect, around 26 degrees, sunny day. Because weather was beautiful we stayed on islands long time, late afternoon decided to finish. Activation from 2 islands in the same time, it was possible thanks to not so bad radio equipment. It was possible to use from time to time KL500 by me on P-177 without any noises on P-176. Not so good result in our logs, below 100 stations logged in both logs- our expectation after trip to 311 division was on higher level, maybe next time ( next month ) will be better.
