Story 161DX/W003 Story from 161DX/W003 activity. 31st of August, after taking Christian to the airport together with Peter 19AT037, we took decision to go direct to activate W003 iwi. Earlier Peter planned to go to the hotel because his intention was to go to the Poznan museums, but after short discussion we change direction. Tumski Ostrow is big iwi in the center of Poznan city- never before activated. After few minutes all equipment was in place and we started activation. After 15 minutes of calling CQ DX first logged station was John 101 – it was very short QSO, only reports were exchanged. After 30 minutes sitting with me I organized picking Peter up to the hotel and I continued activation of W003. Propagation was very poor, only 11 stations logged from 2 divisions only. To give more operators chance to catch this iwi, I took decision to organize second part of activation- up to the end of October. Hope to catch more stations next time. 161DX018 Slawek return
