21/47DX002 Welcome to the information page of 21/47DX002 Soren's Swedish Islands Tour Spring 2009. This page is mainly made to offer log-search, and general information. 47DX002 Soren was working in Sweden for the week commencing 23rd of March, the original plan was to activate a few islands around the EU-084 archipelago. Unfortunately due to lack of propagation, no contacts were made from any of Stockholms many islands. This means that the callsign 21DX/EU084/LI was never heard nor worked. However during the trip back to Denmark several contacts were made as 21/47DX002/mobile. But since it is not expected that QSL-cards will be requested we will not upload proofs to this page. Emmediately after leaving Sweden via the freeway the island Peberholm is crossed. In order to activate this island Soren stopped and made the activity 47DX002/PI. The car is packed, ready to leave. Story: As no contact was made from EU084 this story will be quite short: I drove to Lidingö island and parked. First at Höguddsvägen, with a good altitude. I called quite a few times as 21DX/EU084/LI. As no stations heard or worked I decided to change QTH to Tykö Brygga, a beautiful place (see the pics above). Again I made some calls as 21DX/EU084/LI... As I again heard no one I removed the antenna from the card and headed back home to the hotel. A few days later, on my way back to Denmark I managed to work several stations as 21/47DX002/mobile. This was from Skåne erea (South Sweden) and I worked local stations (up to 90 km away) via groundwave. More info at 47DX002/PI-infopage.
