Story 328/47DX002 Story from 328/47DX002 activity. 328/47DX002 Last year (2009) we visited a great campsite in Croatia. The day before we left for Denmark we took a stroll around the campsite to finds the best possible parcel. The day after - on the day we left - we booked the good parcel for next years summer holidays in 2010. Via extensive planning we managed to begin the holidays one week before originally planned. Therefore we got the chance to visit another campsite before arriving at the firstly planned campsite. Nice, this gave us one extra week of vacation. Zodiac boat and engine: The plan was to bring the newly bought Zodiac and engine. But having a family means that plans from time to time can be quickly changed!!! - and "suddenly" there was no free space for the boat/motor. The result: I did not bring the boat... Hmmmm :-) The trip: Leaving Denmark July 2nd, driving to Central Germany for attending the activation 13DX/ST004 Saturday, July 3rd. After the activation we drove to South Germany and stopped at 13DX028 Nikos place. Fantastic Dinner by Niko and Isabell - and great compagny. Thanks friends :-) Croatia: Arriving in Croatia July 4th. Weather was fine, and after setting up the camp - and walking the 20 meters to the Adriatic Sea for a swim - I did set up the radio station. Not much propagation, so I decided to wait calling and spend some time with the family. The day after I worked my first station 26DX047 Darran, after that 29RSN001. Unfortunately I had forgotten the power supply to the transmitter of the wireless headphones back home. This was truly missed. I managed to buy a wired headset as replacement. Last year we saw a nice restaurant making HUGE pizzas. This year we visited the restaurant, see the pictures how big the pizza was. Holiday: Much time was spend reading books, relaxing (=sleeping), swimming in the pool and in the Adriatic Sea, shopping, cooking and spending time with the family. Less time by the radio this year, and at the end only 51 log entries made. Heading home: After 2 weeks in Croatia we were needed at home due to private matters. So we had to leave Croatia and head back home. Last contact on radio was made July 12th with 14FR/MILL300010 Didier. We were safely back home July 14th - and already now trying to find out when we can leave for Croatia again, next time for sure bringing the Zodiac with us... Results: Most contact was made July 6th in the evening. I logged 51 QSO's from 16 DXCC's. I was active on the radio 7 days. I worked 26DX/L001 from the mobile and I worked 346AT/0 from outside EU. Equipment used was Icom 706 and the Bamby antenna. Hope soon to be active from Croatia again. Greetings Soren return
