Story 49DX/MA082 We decide to be on air the days that our job give us some time. (Not easy in 49 Div. on summer). The first day was 13/06/02 and we drive to the road wich is more nearest the beach and we walk approx. 50 minutes to the beach (downhill). Once there we inflate the toy boat and start to make transfers to the rock with the Material, we are nearly close to lost the batery into the sea, but finally all was set up into the Island. We finish the work of mounting the Antron 99 and the TS50S and we make our first call on 555 at 08:00 GMT, and zzzzzzzzzzz, nothing. Then we make some calls and only Pedro 49MU011 answer our call. But the band was quiet during all morning. One of us spend the time calling and calling on 555 and 470/480 but no chance. The others decide to enjoy the day diving or fishing. Finally at 13:45 the band open for few minuts and we are able to make some QSO with 30, 13, 19, 31, 34, 49, 14, 108, 26. But then the band close again. After this situation we decide to pick all material and go back home. And now the surprise, with all material, our legs tyred of diving and swiming, we have to go back to the road. but this time we spend nearlly 1 hour and 45 minuts because the way is uphill now. When we arrive at our cars we say If we come back to this rock must be one day with good propagation because is too much efort only for a handfull of NICE QSO. 73's de Team return
