96DX/1

Welcome to the informationpage of 96DX/1 held in December 2002 and January 2003.

We are happy to announce that Fred, 19DX017 is active as 96DX/1 from Tonga Island - as our first activation from Pacific region. Thanks Fred - and congratulations to you, for running our first activation from this interesting part of the world.

Fred is travelling with 19FU001, Mr. Walter. We have agreed that Mr. Walter can transmit as Guest- operator with same callsign (96DX/1) during the stay at Tonga. Thanks Walter.

Fred and Walter is visiting other islands and countries in the Pacific and will activate these as well
(with callsigns from FU-group and IR-group).

- microphone: original handheld and Zennheiser microphones

- audio equalizer produced by W2IHY
- amplifier: no
- antenna: 5 element ZX-yagi long boom (7,90 meter boom - gain 12 dBd) - 9,55 meters above ground (7/8 lambda)
- cable Aircell (low loss)
- PC: Pentium 866 MHz, 128 mb ram
- logprogram: logprogram DXMAN by 108AT020 Colin
