DXRC Awards and prizes 2008

At the Delta-Xray Radio Club World Meeting 2008 in Wittenberg, Germany, we handed out the Delta-Xray Radio Club Achievement Award 2008 and awards for the Delta-Xray Radio Club Best Activation 2007.

The Delta-Xray Radio Club Achievement Award 2008
The award was given to 1AT001, Mr. Aldo for the following achievements made for the 11-meter band operators, through the latest 30 years:

1. Mr. Aldo, and his group, have implemented the divisonal list (our DXCC-list). This list is today used by 99.9% of the 11-meter DX'ers.

2. Mr. Aldo's group was the first club presenting a QSL-bureau which everyone can believe in when sending a QSL-card to it, and we were sure - and still now - that a QSL will be returned.

3. Mr. Aldo's group invented the Supercomittee (validation of activations with proofs).

4. Mr. Aldo's group has done a great job teaching its members how to work on the band.

5. Last but not least, Mr. Aldo's group invented the Awards programme on 11-meter.

Delta-Xray Radio Club congratulates him and his group.
