Story 13DX/NW001 Part#1
Hi IOTA & IWI maniacs.
New year started and I have got invitation from our sister company located in Germany, in Hiddenhausen City.
As always I checked on the map posibilities to activate some IWI's. I was very surprised discovering 15kms from place where I was stay small IWI Gaense located on Aa river. I have contacted immediately with Uli 13DX056 and he updated IBO accordingly.
Quick contact with Darran and Tom and contract for activation was agreed. I have visited island immediately after arriving from Poland - 840kms and 7,5hrs in car.
It was absolutely lack of propagation and after half an hour I was back at the hotel. Thanks to Uli I have got contact details to my good friend 13AT117 (161AT124) Kristian, who, what was big surprise for me is living 12kms from Gaense island. I invited him to my hotel and we have spend good time in the restaurant.
Next day, Tuesday I spent whole day on business meetings, but late evening I visited Kristian in his German QTH. he gave me presentation how it is possible to operate remote, i.e transmit from Germany via internet using antenna in Poland.
On Wednesday, time to go home, after early morning breakfast I started short trip to the Gaense island. I stayed on Lohrstrasse and after 45 minutes first station-13AT117 Kristian was logged. next station was our good known friend Uli- thanks Uli for your help and invitation to visit you. On the final of my over 2 hours stay on the island only 4 stations logged.
I will visit this island during my next stay in Germany, as we have few meetings in Hiddenhausen,
