Story 14DX/10021R
Story from 14DX/10021R activity. On this Saturday, August 31, 2013, I take the local road at 8:00 towards Arcis sur Aube, in the hope of having some propagation. I arrived on the island of Cherlieu 8:30, I find a place and start mounting the antenna and equipment, I began the first tests, photos ect .. and suddenly the owner, after discussion I change places not to disturb the guests, I sit at the bottom of the island but no electricity at the terminal, so I start with the battery of the mobile and the rescue propagation is capricious, first in my log is friend Alberto 1DX411, followed by many hunters, the signals are jerky with strong QSB. Conditions are bad, I chose the TS-480HX (more powerful) and leaves the FT-857D on standby. 9:52 finally electricity! Super! Power 40A service, I can go with full TS-480 HX (230w), which is very well given the conditions. Despite azimuth changes, openings remain sporadic. Some SUD America with his friend Roger 3DA012 and still follow some hunters before the tape becomes not muted. In the afternoon nothing zzzzz 555, I decided to connect the KL-501 for help but then I have problems, I cut the wireless terminal site WIFI. I go QRT at 18:00 with total of 92 stations in my log from 19 DXCCs. Thank you to all hunters and those waited on the QRG. A big thank you to Mr Ton Margriet Hermans the Dutch island owner for his great kindness and hospitality. Now to the next adventure. Christophe 14DX049. return |
