Story 14DX/80014R Story from 14DX/80014R activity. Being on the North of France for particular reasons during 15 days I find one day to resume my activities on a little island of the region for a few hours, this island is 45 kilometres from my parents home. Time is favourable, after 10 days of wind and rain, I am lucky with this day for the sun is present, not rain and temperatures of 3°C when I arrive at the QTH. Activation starts has 08:25, all equipment installed, the first station in the LOG is 1AT341 Carmelo, the propagation is excellent, it is a day of week, but as usual the hunters for this kind of activity are quite present, continuous contacts not stop during 1hr before that starts has to be a little quieter but the continuous LOG to fill easily. Now that the LOG is well filled I stop activation, it is time to dismount to join my father who is hospitalized I could not remain longer, the last station in the LOG is 13AT672 Jeroen. We stop activation at 15:53 with 118 operators in the LOG from 23 DXCC: 1.2.3.9.10.13.14.16.18.19.24.26.30.47.50.56.76.108.116.136.153.161.163 Thank you all for your participation, we hope to listen you again on our next island, do not forget we promised 1 island per month, so we will hold to our word.
