Story 161DX/P016 Diabelska Isl - IWI Story from 161DX/P016 activity. Hi to all, Our adventure started at 8:30 GMT on 18.10.2008 as always from Bydgoszcz city. After 50 minute drive our target was achieved and we waited for our friends to deliver us the boat. Thanks to Greg's muscles and rowing skills the trip from mainland to Diabelska island was achieved after 15 minutes. Standard preparation of the equipment, but after 2 minutes our Kipor generator is switched off. We were surprised after checking the generators condition - lack of oil. Unexpected trip back to the car where a spare stock of oil was prepared. Anyway, it was a good occasion for Greg to exercise his muscles once again, 5 minutes shorter trip and after next 5 minutes Mac made first call, 161DX/P016 was on the air ! First in our log was 161EX015 Jurek, next Soren on more suitable frequency 610. Weather not so bad with a little sunshine and moderate wind. Next day without any unexpected events, totally 13 stations in the log - yes only 13 stations. During trip back home we made the decision to re-activate this island the following weekend to give more operators opportunity to work a new one. Second part started on 25th of October the same time and was finished around 15:00 GMT on 26th. Result much worse because only 5 stations after 2 days - summarising in total only 18 stations in the log, the worst result in our activations history.
