Story: Summary of my trip to sa028.... The trip: It took me 5hours by car till the ferryboat... conditions of the Sea were good, so the ferryboat crossing was ok, about half an hour till Bela Island. On the Island: The first goal was to enjoy the beach with family and then put up in the air Bela Isl (SA028) but unfortunately I had a lot of problems like breaking a piece of the 3el. Skypper, a lot of trees around the antenna, storms and interference from the garden lamps at the first QTH resulted in only 5 stations logged on the first evening. Due to QRN I decided to move to another place and put the vertical antenna up, but again another "surprise", the power supply started to blow fuses so impossible to transmit from the 2nd QTH, only option was to operate and transmit from the car for a couple of hours and again bad weather in my way, so decided to go qrt with less stations in log than I’d hoped! Trip back home was all ok despite of bad weather... Thanks for all involved and those who called for my IOTA activation... Do hope next one will be much better without any "surprises" lol!!
