DXRC QSL-card Design School ![]() Delta-Xray Radio Club has made a set of Guidelines, in order to support our members when designing and printing QSL-cards. At this page we present a list of "things" that we recommend are remembered while designing a good QSL-card. This page focus at Personal QSL-cards. If you search for information about Activity QSL-cards - please click here. Personal QSL-cards. =================== ==> General statements: Several callsigns at one QSL-card We believe every member should have his/hers own QSL-card. This QSL-card can, withour problems, contain several callsigns, like: 30DX400 30DX400/E317 Tamarit Island 30DX400/_____ Shorts We recommend you to use as few "shorts" as possible, as not all understand what the "short" means. Examples: Please write: "Tamarit Island", do not write "Tamarit Isl." or "Tam. Is." Please write: "For example", do not write "i.g." or "for ex." Island name If you live on an island, we recommend you to print the Island name and "IOTA-code" at your QSL-card. Example: "Sealand Island - EU029" Graphic example - click mere. ==> Need to have: 1 to 5 - A box for general QSO-info We suggest you design a "box" where you can type in general info for the QSO. A standard box can look like the examples showed here. The box contains the following fields (below listed as number 1 to number 5): 1 - Callsign ![]() There must be a box where you can type in the callsign of the operator you have worked. "Confirming QSO with:" (30DX400) Example: click mere. 2 - date/time There must be a box where you can type in the data and time for the QSO. We recommend that all times are given in GMT. "Day" - "Month" - "Year" and "Time (GMT)" Example: click mere. 3 - RS(T) There must be a box where you can type in the radio report (RS) for the QSO. We recommend that the box is named "RS". "RS" Example: click mere. 4 - Frequency/band (QRG) There must be a box where you can type in the frequency or band (QRG) of the QSO. We recommend one of the 2 formats are used: - Band ==> normally typed as "11" - Frequency ==> Normally typed as "27.600" Example: click mere. Back to QSL-Guidelines. Back to Guidelines. |
